Seventeen Makes K-Pop History with Glastonbury Festival Performance Announcement

In a groundbreaking moment for K-pop, boy band Seventeen is set to etch their name in history as the first Korean act to grace the legendary Glastonbury Festival stage. Taking place from June 26 to 30 at Worthy Farm in Somerset, England, Glastonbury is renowned as one of the world’s most prestigious music festivals, and Seventeen’s inclusion in this year’s lineup marks a significant milestone for both the band and the genre.

Headlining the festival’s iconic Pyramid Stage alongside global heavyweights such as Dua Lipa, Coldplay, SZA, Shania Twain, and Burna Boy, Seventeen will bring their unique brand of performance to audiences on an unprecedented scale.

Debuting under the now-HYBE label Pledis Entertainment in 2015, Seventeen has swiftly risen to prominence with chart-topping hits like “Very Nice,” “Clap,” “Super,” and the acclaimed “God of Music” (2023). Their 11th EP, “Seventeenth Heaven,” released in October 2023, further solidified their status as a powerhouse in the K-pop scene.

Beyond their historic Glastonbury appearance, Seventeen continues to captivate fans worldwide with their energetic performances. The band is gearing up for a series of encore concerts as part of their “Follow” world tour, aptly titled “‘Follow’ Again.” Scheduled twice in Incheon on March 30 and 31, Osaka on May 18 and 19, and Kanagawa on May 25 and 26, these concerts promise to further showcase Seventeen’s unparalleled talent and stage presence.

With regular tickets for Glastonbury already sold out, anticipation for Seventeen’s performance is at an all-time high. As they prepare to make history on the Pyramid Stage, Seventeen stands poised to leave an indelible mark on the global music landscape, solidifying their legacy as trailblazers in K-pop.
